DRAMA LLAMA CRISIS

(First off, this will become a new tag. It's official.)

Hey guys!!

So, as the title so oh-so calmly proclaims, GAAH THE DRAMA ABOUNDS!! And it's not exactly personal drama either, it's friends' drama... O.O which is were it always gets strange. I'm not going to say whose drama this is (cause it's actually been a couple different friends lately, which has been really weird), but it has to do with (cue dramatic music) romance.

I always feel bad when friends have romance related drama, cause that's one of those areas I just can't offer any help with.... oh, for those of you who don't know: I've never been in a romantic relationship. Ever. O.O I know, it's kind of weird to hear about 17-almost-18 year olds who have never been in a relationship, but it's honestly never been something I've given much though to until this last year, and it's been on my mind a LOT. Things have changed, outlooks have changed, but I'm still not sure if it's an area I want to deal with right now... with college and orchestra ever present, it makes life outside of work (and admittedly, planned procrastinating :D) a bit bizarre.

To these friends, I've lately given the age old advice adults seem to fully believe in and preach: it'll get better.

..........

What does that even MEAN?

Yes, it's true, I've seen it in action and fully accept it's a genuine thing in life. However, it can't be reassuring whatsoever to be in the middle of a personal crisis and being told "it'll get better", cause at the moment the situation doesn't improve with simple words, at least not regularly. Change happens through the will and ability to change and improve, not just the advice to. I know, that sounds crude and unfeeling towards others' plights, and it's not!! I've had and admittedly still have problems and mini dramas to work though, and I know how it feels, at least on some level. It feels lonely. It feels broken. It's anger, it's frustration, sadness, exasperation, and almost any other emotion you can imagine.

So, to those of us fighting our own demons, whatever they may be, I say this: guys, it's true, it's gonna get better. True, it sucks right now, but you're not alone, not even sorta. There's people in your lives (at least I fully hope and believe) who truly care about you, and they've got your back. Before you try to tackle your crisis, get your mind away from it - go talk to a friend or family member, read a favorite book with a cup of tea or coffee, heck, even watch adorable animal videos on YouTube!! Just stop dwelling on it for a second, calm down!! and once you're there, you're ready to tackle any challenge.

*cyber hugs* Good luck, guys!! And good night!!
